A Smoky Mountain HI

Here is a journey I make each day. Time flows on this side of eternity. I have aged as gracefully as reasonable as can be be expected, and yet feel not a day older in my mind. As I begin a life in the Smoky Mountains I hope you will share my journey as well. www.kleincabin.com

Wisdom is more than understanding or know what to do. Wisdom is knowing Who is in charge of everything and not trying to take His place.
It seem that the things I think I know the best I understand the least.
Suspicion and caution tend to dress alike...but for different reasons.
Hope is a journey into your Faith and your faith is the application of your Hopes.
Salty salt is God working in you…tasteless salt is you working all by yourself.
Jesus said to His disciples two things "Come and Follow .."  Most Christians get the first one but very few get the second one.

You are only tempted is you have something of value to lose....unless it is food then it is about unwanted gains.
If you are self-propelled you will most likely be misguided.
Knowledge or wisdom without God is useless to you even though you may benefit from it.

Christians are the “seed sowers” in the briar patches of life.
There seems to be a lot of ‘weed sowers and less ‘seed sowers in our churches… now-a -days.
Every church is issued an endless supply of “Gospel seed” they are to be sowing every single day of their existence.
To be “seedless” is to be “Christ less“.
A good pastor is more hungry for the gospel that are the ones he feeds.

Giving up is a sign of weak faith, uncalculated cost, and unfulfilled determination.
My integrity is the action of my character.
Character is the faith that you have in what you say you believe.
May your enemies know that you were right; even while they revile and persecute you.
May your reflection be true, may your words be honest, and may the good in your life show up in the lives of your loved ones.
Wise men do what they know to be right! Fools pursue what they know is wrong thinking somehow it will turn out to be right.
Bargain only for the good, as it is always be priceless, make no bargain for bad, for it will always becomes the ugly.

Going from where you are is the only way forward.
Pray before you say and you may not have to pray for forgiveness quite as often.
Practice rarely makes you perfect but it may make you more acceptable.
Whenever you can open the dullness of mundane lives to their possibilities and places hope within their grasp, you have become a leader.
"The sky is the limit" only if you do not know how and to Whom to pray.

Some things seem better left unsaid, but need to be said anyway.
The things that should be left unsaid are often the first things said.
Too often the "room for doubt", in a person's life, is the largest and most heavily populated room in their lives.
Too often we are rested and refreshed by our own opinions.
Why is it that the first thing out of my mouth is the last thing wanted to say?
“Church rules” are the way we brand our sheep.
“Biblical rules” are the way God brand His sheep.
“Love” is the brand of Christianity. Love Me first, says the Father, then love one another.
A Christian's life is the testimony of Jesus’ life.
Guilt may change your behavior but rarely changes you heart; only Jesus can do that.

Smile when you would rather frown, give when you would rather take, love when you would rather hate, and help when you would rather ignore.
Your greatest strength is your weakness under God’s control.
Listening increases your learning more than talking.
Sometimes what you fall for, teaches you, what you need to stand for.
No husband can meet all his wife's needs. Don't expect your husband to do God's job!
No wife can meet all her husband's needs. Don't expect your wife to do God's job!
